Dr. Legacy was hired in January 2016 as Assistant Professor and the Director of Clinical Education in the Department of Physical Therapy at Plymouth State University. Prior to joining PSU, she had been the Clinical Director at Choice Physical Therapy NH for 13 years. During that time, she specialized in the treatment of orthopedic and sports injuries; with strong emphases in manual therapies and functional biomechanical assessments. In 2011, when Choice Physical Therapy NH merged with Speare Memorial Hospital, she became responsible for oversight of inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services, and Speare’s medical fitness program.

Dr. Legacy has been the Center Coordinator of Clinical Education, and a Clinical Instructor at Choice Physical Therapy for several physical therapy and physical therapist assistant programs. Prior to working as a physical therapist, Legacy worked as a Certified Athletic Trainer at Dartmouth College.

Dr. Legacy holds professional memberships with the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA). She is a Board Certified Physical Therapist and Athletic Trainer and holds additional certifications in Graston® Technique, Active Release Techniques®, Selective Functional Movement Assessment®, The Burdenko Method, and CrossFit.

Dr. Legacy is able to combine her commitment to community with her passions for teaching and clinical care in her current role as Director of Clinical Education. She believes strongly in the integration of high quality clinical experiences into the curriculum that patients, clinical partners, graduates, and the community will ultimately benefit from.
