An introduction to statistics with applications in several disciplines such as Business, Psychology, Education, Social Sciences or Natural Sciences. Included are both descriptive and inferential statistics. Among the topics are numerical and graphical summaries for one and two variables, linear regression and correlation, confidence intervals and tests concerning means. A standard statistical software package is used throughout the course. Falls and Springs. Prerequisite(s): regular admission to Plymouth (i.e., completion of high school Algebra II and geometry) or removal of mathematics deficiency by completing the Preliminary Mathematics Requirement.
