Department Activities

Mathematics Department faculty are very involved with our students. The Math Association (a student run organization that coordinates activities and events for students whether you are a math major or not) sponsors activities such as a hike in the nearby mountains in the spring, a game night held at the student activities center and an annual softball game at Draper & Maynard park here in Plymouth. The softball game, played by both students and faculty, is followed by a cookout at a faculty member’s home.

And let’s not forget the holiday party held each year before classes end for the semester. Math faculty, staff and students attend this fun-filled event at which there is plenty of food and a “Yankee Swap” holiday gift exchange game, which is a great way to end the semester.
