Mike Mariska is a new addition to the Counselor Education and School Psychology department at Plymouth State University, having previously worked as an Assistant Professor at Long Island University in Brookville, NY. He teaches core coursework for both the Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling programs, and as the Clinical Experiences Coordinator, holds a particular interest in basic skills training and clinical experiences. He is also the faculty advisor for Plymouth State’s chapter of Chi Sigma Iota, the international counseling honor society. Dr. Mariska’s clinical experiences include work in college counseling, career counseling, and community counseling with a variety of populations. Prior to becoming a counselor educator, he worked in student affairs and as a program coordinator for nonprofit organizations.
