November 21st, 2013 by Lindsay

This 14 karat gold filled, sterling silver and leather necklace was specially designed for the Museum of the White Mountains by Karen Eisenberg.  Eisenberg holds an MFA in jewelry and metalsmithing from Rhode Island School of Design and is a juried member of the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen.  The natural forms, colors and textures of her work reflect the beauty and inspiration of the natural world around her.  She lives in the Mount Washington Valley with her husband and daughter.

Designer Karen Eisenberg on this necklace:

“Timeless and classic, this signature piece designed exclusively for the Museum of the White Mountains was inspired by little river rocks I have collected during local adventures.  They hold memories of splendid days wandering in the White Mountains.  This silver stone with a 1 karat gold filled band, refined and simply wrapped into shape that feels good to wear, is intended to capture the memory of your visit to the Museum of the White Mountains.”
