Honoring a legacy.
The Museum of the White Mountains founding collection celebrates the rich history and heritage of the White Mountains region. To preserve and honor these unique artifacts and artworks, plans are underway to build a physical home for the museum at 34 Highland Street in Plymouth, on the campus of Plymouth State University.
Realizing a dream.
The museum, which opened in February of 2013, includes a large art gallery and exhibit space, state-of-the-art collection storage facilities, sophisticated digital learning resources, an auditorium, meeting space, and a classroom. Located in the foothills of the White Mountains, the museum is a living, learning laboratory for researchers, educators, students, and visitors alike.
