Alumni Diretory in myPlymouth becomes OPEN

October 30th, 2008 by Adam

This is the question you should be asking your self right now. Should I stay with all of my contact information available in myPlymouth of should I go in and hide it? I say STAY.

Beginning November 1st, if you are an alum of Plymouth State and you are looking for another alum, you’ll be able to find him or her in the Alumni Directory. On this date, we are “opening” the alumni directory so it is easier to find your fellow alumni. You’ll be able to find every alum from every year in the directory. Looking for your friend from 3rd floor Mary Lyon? She’s in there. Want to find your study partner from Biology class? We’ll know where he is. Can’t remember your friend Michele’s new last name? We’ll help you out. It is now going to be easier than ever to keep in touch with your friends from Plymouth State.

Over the last few years, we have heard many comments concerning our alumni directory. Many of you use it already and make your contact information public for your fiends and classmates, but you are having hard times finding information about other alumni. As part of our Alumni Attitude Study, conducted in 2006, the desire for a searchable directory was deemed very important. It has taken us a while, but we can now say “Here you go”. With the new launch of our alumni directory, you’ll be able to see the names, class year, and contact information for the people you want to stay in touch with. Now keeping up with friends and classmates is just a few clicks away.

If you are excited about the direction of your open alumni directory and are more than happy with what you have read, then all you need to do is wait until November 1st and we’ll take care of the rest. If you’re not sure about this, then simply login to myPlymouth and follow the simple instructions. You can decide once you are in the directory what you want your friends and classmates to see. It’s that simple. We’re only a few days away from truly helping bring alumni together.

If you have any questions or want more information about this or other myPlymouth issues, contact the Office of Alumni Relations at 603-535-2589 or at alumni@plymouth.edu
