ECAC Honor Roll

Junior Becky Morse (Sterling, MA), a 5’11″ center, was selected to the ECAC/AmeriSuites New England Weekly Honor Roll for her solid play last week. Morse averaged 13
points, 14 rebounds, 3.5 steals, and four blocks per game in two disappointing losses to Salem State, (87-71) and Western Connecticut, (66-47). Against Salem, she scored 15 points
and had five steals, five blocks, and 14 rebounds, while tallying 11 points and 14 rebounds against Western Connecticut. She leads the team in points (13.7 ppg), rebounds (12.7 rpg),
blocks (10 bpg), and steals (12 spg).

Morse finds herself among the LEC leaders as well. She ranks first in rebounds with 12.7 per game, second in blocked shots (1.7 bpg), eighth in scoring (13.7 ppg) and field
goal percentage (.419), and ninth in free throw percentage (.625).

PANTHER NOTES: Three other Panthers are ranked among the LEC’s elite. Sophomore forward Jessica Shapiro (Windsor Locks, CT) ranks seventh in rebounding with 7.5 per
game, sophomore guard Courtney Jacques (Belmont, NH) ranks seventh in free throw percentage (.667), and sophomore guard Lynn Hersey (Dexter, ME) ranks sixth in three-point
field goal percentage (.250) connecting on 10-of-40…..Shapiro is averaging 7.0 points and 7.5 rebounds per game…..Hersey leads the team in three point field goals made (10) and is
averaging 9.0 points per game…..Jacques shares the team lead with Becky Morse stealing the ball 12 times. She is averaging 9.3 points and leads the team in assists with 10. After a
game Monday night (Dec. 8) at Rivier College, PSC hosts LEC opponent Rhode Island College Saturday (Dec. 13) at Foley Gymnasium (2:00 p.m.) in the final game of the semester.
