ECAC/LEC Honor Roll

PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Plymouth State College men’s basketball players continue to receive weekly honors as the Panthers have won six straight games and improved to 13-4 overall.

Senior Ace Elefteriadis (Belmont, MA) is the latest recipient, as he has been selected to the Little East Conference Player of the Week and earned mention on the Eastern College Athletic Conference New England Weekly Honor Roll. Elefteriadis was instrumental in PSC winning all three games last week, including LEC verdicts over Keene State and Rhode Island College.

A 6’3″ forward and co-captain, Elefteriadis tossed in a career-high 36 points in Saturday’s 102-84 win at RIC. He connected on 12-of-17 field goal attempts, including six-of-8 three-point tries. For the week, he averaged 20.0 points and 7.3 rebounds, shooting 56 percent from the floor (22-of-29) and 47 percent from three-point range (9-of-19).

Elefteriadis earns the LEC’s Player of the Week award after making the Weekly Honor Roll on two previous occasions this season. He is ranked fifth in the conference in scoring (15.8 ppg), 13th in rebounding (6.1 rpg), and sixth in field goal percentage (.423) and three-point field goal percentage (.367).

he Panthers are tied for first place in the LEC with five-time defending champion UMass Dartmouth, both at 8-1 in conference games. After a non-conference game Thursday (Feb. 5) at Foley Gymnasium against Bridgewater State (7:30 p.m.), PSC hosts the Corsairs of UMass Dartmouth Saturday (Feb. 7) at Foley Gymnasium (4:00 p.m.) in a game that could determine the regular season LEC champion and the host of the conference post-season tournament.
