PLYMOUTH, N.H.- The death of John Wiblyi, a 20-year-old Plymouth State University student from Connecticut, stunned his friends, family and classmates, but his life was remembered with happiness at an Oct. 14 memorial service at PSU’s Memorial Green.

Wiblyi, a junior from Burlington, Conn. who was majoring in communication studies , died Sept. 12.
During the memorial service, Dick Hage, Vice President for Student Affairs, delivered a moving eulogy, referencing John’s friendly nature and remembrances of his life at PSU, where he was a popular student. The service concluded with a procession of students, the Wybyli family, faculty and staff carrying a memorial torch and wreath around campus in Wybyli’s memory.The PSU flag was also lowered to halfstaff in tribute to Wybyli. John’s friends then briefly spoke about their sadness at his death, describing him as fun and engaging.
