The Proofing Stage

Your project agreement shows dates for a first proof and a final proof. You will also be asked to sign a proof sheet, showing that you have made your corrections and given your OK at each proofing stage of your project.

  1. The first proof is where you should make all your corrections, ask for different photos or note any other changes that you need. You should show this proof to everyone (department head, vice president, provost, etc.) who needs to approve the publication. Note all of their changes on the proof.
  2. The final proof is where you check to make sure that all the corrections you asked for have been made.
  3. OPR will e-mail you a PDF proof to show any corrections that are made at the final proof stage.
  4. Last minute changes (meaning changes after the final proof deadline) will move the job out of queue and may not be possible.
  5. We will let you know when we have a final proof available for you to review and approve. You signature on the final proof indicates that you accept the project as is or have marked your corrections.
