What is an event?
Events include lectures, workshops, meetings, training programs, art and cultural events, and social events. They may include on or off-campus events so long as the event is sponsored by a University department, school, or approved organization.

Events may be open to the general public, the Plymouth State community or a segment the PSU community. Since the calendar can be viewed by by the world, events should specify who can attend an event if it is not open to the public or the entire PSU community.

How can I post an event?
Visit the Office of Public Relations web site and submit the work request form with the necessary event information as outlined in the submission guidelines.

When will my event appear on ThisWeek@PSU
Submissions received by Wednesday of any given week will be reviewed by the calendar administrator and posted the following Friday. It is very important that the event submission include complete event details. Incomplete submissions will not be posted.

If an event does not appear to meet the calendar guidelines, the administrator will not include the event. The calendar administrator will contact the person who submitted the event whenever possible to explain why the event cannot be posted.

If you do not see your event after you have submitted the Work Request form, and your event meets all calendar criteria, please contact the calendar administrator.

How can I change or delete an event after it has been posted?
Email the calendar administrator with a clear description of the change. Include the date and title of the event to the help the calendar administrator locate the event. Changes and deletions will be addressed as they are received.

May photos be posted with my event?
Yes. When your event submission is received, the calendar administrator will check any included "for more information" URL for appropriate photos which can be easily repurposed for the event posting. Photos will not be accepted by e-mail unless they have been requested by the calendar administrator. The calendar administrator may include stock images if no other event image is available. Alternatively, you may indicate in your event submission (in the event details box) that you have a photo you would like to use for the event posting.

How often can I submit events to ThisWeek@PSU?
There are no restrictions on the number of events you can submit.

What time period will ThisWeek@PSU cover?
ThisWeek@PSU will list events from the current date up to one-year forward. Events posted on ThisWeek@PSU will continue to for a minimum of one year from the date posted. Audience members can search for past events in the same manner in which they do for upcoming events.

Are comments posted to ThisWeek@PSU edited?
No. All comments are reviewed before they are posted for tone and language. Any comments deemed inappropriate by the calendar administrator due to strong language unsuitable for the general audience, slander or obscenities will not be approved for posting. Approved comments appear as they are submitted and approved. They are not edited for content, spelling or grammar.

Comments are encouraged as a way for the Plymouth State community to have an open dialog about events and topics of interest to the campus and the community.
