Federal, State and PSU Grants
Federal Pell, Federal Supplemental Opportunity Grants (SEOG), state grants, and PSU Grants make up need-based gift level. Federal and state grants are based on current year funding from state and federal governments and are subject to change.
PSU Merit Awards
PSU Academic Merit Scholarships are awarded by the Office of Admission. Notification of eligibility is sent in the Admission’s Acceptance letter. Award consideration is based on several things, including: class rank, SAT scores, strength of academic programs and high school activities. No additional application is required.
PSU Scholarships
Many different scholarships are available through Plymouth State University’s Advancement Office, Alumni Office, and various academic departments.
Scholarship Searches
Students can perform a scholarship search using various internet scholarship search databases. Competition is often more severe for scholarships identified this way, as many are available on a regional or national level.
Private Scholarships
Private foundations, civic organizations and others are a great resource for additional scholarship monies.
International Students
Financial assistance for international students applying to Plymouth State University is limited. Typical financial aid is underwritten and subsidized by the United States government, and therefore such aid is only available to U.S. citizens. Recognizing this, PSU offers several opportunities to international students.
