Undergraduate students have the option of enrolling in Summer and/or Winterim classes. These are not standard terms; therefore, payment for Summer or Winterim classes is due within 24 hours of registration. If you are unable to pay by cash or credit card, we invite you to contact the Financial Aid Team to discuss your payment options and complete a Summer/Winterim request form. This will give you the opportunity to tell us how you plan to pay for your course(s).
Options that may be available include:
- Applying for an Alternative Loan
- Your parent applying for a Federal Direct PLUS Loan
- Splitting your Federal Direct loans or Pell Grant (if you are eligible) between the terms, which will reduce your fall and/or spring eligibility.
Student enrolling for the Summer term must enroll in a minimum of six credits total. Students enrolling for Winterim must enroll in at least three credits to be eligible for federal financial aid. In addition to identifying how you wish to pay for your Summer or Winterim course(s), the Summer/Winterim form will allow us to increase your Cost of Attendance (COA) to reflect your additional expenses and process your aid request. The Financial Aid Team is here to assist you with any questions or concerns you may have about the Summer or Winterim aid process.
Note: The Financial Aid Team will not begin processing Summer aid until late April/early May or Winterim aid until November.
