All PSU Systems Outage 22 June

Information Technology Services is close to completing a year-long project to relocate all enterprise computing resources to Highland Hall.  The final, but most critical phase of this move is the relocation of the main Data Center. The Data Center move is scheduled for Tuesday, June  22, 2010 between 6:00 am and 4:00 pm and will require physically moving most of the server infrastructure.

During the move, PSU online services will be significantly limited with little to no access to the following services

  • myPlymouth (Including Banner INB services, e-commerce, Blackboard and Moodle; Lamson Library on-line catalog)
  • Document imaging (reading and scanning documents
  • M-drives
  • Departmental shared drives
  • Printing via networked printers

Access to the internet (outside of the PSU website) including VPN, Banner Finance & HR may also be impacted. We recognize this extended outage will impact productivity, but this was the only time our contractors were available to assist us if there were problems with the move.

We thank you for your patience as we work to create improved data services.  As systems come back on line, we will post an update  to the http://www.plymouth.edu website with available systems.
