Some on-campus users reporting problems with network service related to the Bradford network access controller.

June 26th, 2013 by Jo-Ann

The ITS Networking team has run into an unanticipated bug while installing the latest upgrade from Bradford, our Network Access Control system.  Bradford is used to manage both students and faculty/staff laptop access on the network.  It is also used for some kiosks and walkup workstations.  As a result some users are experiencing interruptions in network service.

Meanwhile we suggest that you utilize the PSU Wireless network.  This may require that you launch the PSU VPN in order to access some specialized servers; or data stores.

If you are prompted by the Bradford window to re-enter your username and password, simply slide the window off to the corner of your desktop to get it out of the way and continue working.  The Bradford window does not have a minimize button and if you close it, it will just pop back up on top of whatever else you are working on.

Our network techs are working with the vendor to resolve the problem as soon as possible.  We apologize for the inconvenience and ask your patience as we work to resolve the issue.  Please contact the Help Desk if you have questions or concerns.
