Procedure and guidelines for surplus items to be picked up from your department

PSU departments may submit a request for pickup of their old computer and multimedia related equipment by calling the ITS Desk and asking them to create a work order for the Surplus staff. Provide building / room number and a brief description of the equipment that is to be picked up.  Staff members from the Repair Center/Surplus Program will pick up the equipment once the request is viewed and pickup is scheduled.

  • Surplus laptops should include an AC Adapter
  • Ensure that the power adapter is included with any flat panel display
  • Include any special instructions or information concerning the equipment

James Cook is a Systems Administrator and has been part of the ITS team since 2007. He specializes in Unix administration and works with the MIS team to provide services for students, faculty, and staff.
