Getting Connected

ITS provides several ways to access the PSU network.

Computer Registration

In order to use the PSU network, you will need to register your desktop or laptop. Only PSU students, faculty, and staff with active PSU email accounts may register computers for use on the Plymouth State network.  Network registration for personal computers also requires that users be running an approved antivirus.

ResNet (For Students)

ResNet provides users with network connectivity in residence halls, Lamson Library and most academic buildings. Students should register computers for use on ResNet.

PSU’s Wireless Network

Access to Plymouth State University’s wireless network is free and open to all. You can gain wireless access to the PSU Network from most academic buildings, the Speare Administration Building, Silver Center for the Arts, Lamson Library, Prospect Dining Hall and the Hartman Student Union. Additionally there is wireless coverage blanketing most of the public green spaces on the central core of the campus as well as the Athletic fields.

Mobile Devices

In order to access the PSU wireless network or your PSU email on a mobile device, such as an Android, Blackberry or iOS (iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch), it is recommended that you register the MAC address of the device for use on the PSU network.  For assistance, please visit the Help Desk located in Lamson Library.
