Overview

Information and Technology Services (ITS) is committed to serving the university’s information technology needs. We provide web development, system maintenance, and support for centralized administrative applications, technology infrastructure, and client computing, as well as support and advice for a wide variety of other information technology needs. ITS consists of the following five main areas:

Business Services

ITS Business Services provides budgeting, human resources, and financial planning services to ITS.  Business Services is also Institutional Technology Purchases and vendor contacts and negotiation.

Client Services

Client Services provides support, advice, and is a central point of contact for the use of ITS services and infrastructure. The ITS HelpDesk, Classroom Technology Services and Resnet (Residential Networking) are part of Client Services.

Infrastructure Services

Infrastructure Services provides for the management of core infrastructure such as the campus data network and phone network.

Management Information Systems

Management Information Systems (MIS) provides development, maintenance, and support for centralized applications such as the myPlymouth Portal, Banner Student Information System (INB), MySQL and Oracle databases, WordPress, and administrative oversight for Moodle, Mahara and more.

Technology Services

Technology Services provides management of the centralized Data Center, email administration, Campus Computer Clusters, Desktop Support and the Computer Repair Center.
