University Police were informed this morning by the Plymouth Police Department that they are currently investigating an alleged robbery that occurred on or near campus earlier today.
According to a Plymouth Police Department spokesperson, a Mandarin Taste employee reported that at approximately 0038 am this morning, Thursday, November 3, 2011, in the area of Highland Street near the Blair and Mary Lyon Residence Hall core, he was struck in the back of the head causing him to be knocked to the ground. The assailant stole from his person a bank bag containing an un-disclosed amount of money and fled the scene.
The suspect was described as follows:
Gender: Male
Height: 5-10 to 6-00
Attire: Black hooded sweatshirt, Blue jeans
