The following information is being provided in compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act.
Early this morning, University Police received a report of an alleged sexual assault and abduction that occurred near campus earlier today.
According to University Police, a PSU student reported that sometime between 3:30 – 7:00 A.M. this morning, while walking somewhere in the area between Tobey Road and Highland Street, she was stopped by two men in a black Jeep. The victim stated she was then taken to an unknown location onLangdon Streetwhere she was sexually assaulted.
The suspects were described only as two white males. Their ages, clothing and physical descriptions are unknown.
This incident is being jointly investigated by the University Police and Plymouth Police Departments. University Police encourage all students, faculty and staff to take normal precautionary safety measures when walking anywhere after dark. Do not walk alone.
