10 Mile Law Enforcement Torch Run raised more then $200,000 for Special Olympics

Several members of the Plymouth State University Police Department joined with other Police Officers from across the state in the 2011 Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics on Thursday, June 02, 2011.  Plymouth State University runners: Investigator Jennifer Frank, Officer Megan Noyes and Officer John Guarnieri represented the university in the 10 mile run that began at Plymouth Police Department and traveled through the towns of Plymouth, Ashland and Holderness.  Members of the Plymouth Police Department: Detective Peter Todd and Officer Christopher Ball accompanied by Chief Kevin Kay of the Wentworth Police Department provided a strong showing of support also running to help raise money to support Special Olympics.  The annual fundraiser is organized by the New Hampshire Association of Chiefs of Police, and has a northern and southern leg that meet in Concord.  Plymouth State University Torch Run Organizers Lieutenant Peter Chierichetti and Sergeant Amanda Hutchins stated that “more then $200,000 was raised this by law enforcement officers running in this event across the state.”  Officers Chierichetti and Hutchins provided motor-vehicle support for the Torch Run, assisted by New Hampshire State Police Trooper: Timothy Stevens, Plymouth Police Officers: Sergeant Alex Hutchins and Captain Stephen Lefebvre, Ashland Police Officer: Bruce Cote and Holderness Police Lieutenant: Barry Tanner
