What is a Degree Audit?
A degree audit is a summary of the student’s degree requirements merged with the student’s academic record, which will provide a real-time assessment of the student’s progress towards graduation. The Audit is organized in blocks of like requirements such as the General Education block, major requirements block, etc. The Audit is the official list of all requirements for graduation.
How current is my audit information?
Information from Banner is updated each time you call up your audit.
How do I know who my advisor is and how to contact them?
Your advisor is listed at the top of your degree audit and their name is linked directly to their email. New student advisor assignments are made during the summer preceding the student’s first semester.
What is my Catalog Year? Is it different from my Catalog Term in myPlymouth?
When using your Degree Works audit you will see your Catalog Year displayed in the Degree bar.
Students entering PSU in Fall 2013 will have a Catalog Year in Degree Works of 2013-2014. Students that entered in Fall 2012 will have a Catalog Year of 2012-2013. If you entered in Fall 2011, your Catalog Year is 2011-2012.
If I am thinking of changing my major, how can I see how the classes I have completed will fit?
You can run a “What-if” audit, found on the left side of the Degree Works Audit tab in your degree audit. Add your intended degree, major, etc. to the fields requested then click the Process What-If button. The results will show how your completed courses apply and what remains to be taken.
What do I do if I want to change my major?
Download a Declaration/Change of Major form from the Registrar’s web page, obtain the required signatures and return to the Registrar’s Office in Speare.
How can I see all the classes I have taken?
In your degree audit, click on the Class History link at the top of the page. This will provide a chronological list of all courses you have completed and the grades you have earned.
Can I find my grades in Degree Works?
Your grades will appear on your grade audit once they have been posted at the end of each semester.
Can I use Degree Works to register for classes?
Although your Audit will guide you in taking the correct classes, you will need to access myPlymouth/Banner Self-Service to register for your classes.
