Veteran Service Information

The Registrar’s Office Veteran’s Certifying Official accepts paperwork to assist students in receiving their VA educational assistance entitlement. Enrollment certifications are completed by this office and reported to the appropriate VA regional office (Buffalo, NY). You may contact the Certifying Official Karla Chierichetti (kchieric@plymouth.edu) if you have any questions.

Plymouth State University also has a Veterans Service Center, located on the second floor of the Speare Administration Building, Room 218.  This office is staffed by student veterans who are familiar with the paperwork process and can help counsel student veterans with locating and/or completing forms, and explain the process they, too, go through. They can be contacted by clicking on the following link Plymouth State Veteran Services (vets@plymouth.edu) if you have any questions.

The following are government sites that include information on eligibility, how to apply for benefits and other information of interest to students who are veterans:

Information regarding application for educational benefits, or changes in enrollment status

For information on how to apply for educational benefits, or changes in enrollment status, please contact the Veteran’s Certifying Official at (603)535-2345 or stop by the Registrar’s Office. You may check the status of your benefits by visiting the VA Educational Benefits Home Page, or calling the automated phone system at 1-888-GIBILL-1 (1-888-442-4551).
