Student Employment Opportunities

Residential North has a number of different student employment opportunities including federal work study positions. Contact the Langdon Woods office or Centre Lodge office to learn more.

Langdon Woods Community Advisor     (Res North CA Application)

The Langdon Woods Community Advisor position is for students who are interested in working with their peers in Langdon Woods.  They provide information to their residents and offer assistance with their concerns. They provide social program and event opportunities and work to provide a safe, secure environment for all residents. Langdon Woods CAs have four office hours each week in addition to evening and weekend duty, programming and individual student follow up.

There are eight Langdon Woods CA positions. Each receives a scholarship for their single room in Langdon Woods and a stipend in the amount of $1087 each semester. A minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA is required for this position.

Apartment Community Advisor     (Res North CA Application)

The Apartment Community Advisor position is for students who are interested in working with their peers in the University apartment complex.  Living cohesively with apartment roommates is an essential part of the Apartment CA’s role.  ACAs assist apartment residents with a variety of concerns and make referrals to other campus resources as needed. ACAs have seven office hours in the Centre Lodge each week in addition to evening and weekend duty, programming and individual student follow up.

There are nine Apartment CA positions. Each receives a scholarship for their shared apartment and a stipend in the amount of $1087 each semester. A minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA is required for this position.

Office Assistants

Office Assistants (work study) in Residential North provide support with a variety of administrative tasks in the Centre Lodge and Langdon Woods office. Responsibilities include providing front line customer service to residents and following up with student facilities concerns.

Student Custodial

Student Custodial (work study) staff in Residential North provide assistance with the maintenance and upkeep of the apartment complex and Langdon Woods.

During the summer, additional employment opportunities may be available to provide service for our summer residents and conference guests.
