It is important to remember that non-directory student information must be kept confidential. Non-staff may not have access to the information. A group sign-in sheet would allow public access to personal information.

You cannot leave personally identifiable materials in a public place.

It is permissible to record information because it is to be used by a University official to carry out responsibilities of position.
