About Karen
Karen came to Plymouth in 1996 and worked as the event coordinator at Silver Center until 2014 when she came to the HUB. Karen’s depth of knowledge coupled with a helpful and positive attitude make her a shining example of what the Plymouth State community is all about. Karen handles reservations and coordinates the ever-changing needs of the many groups that use the various spaces within the HUB. Her extensive knowledge of the campus and its functions allow her to help people with nearly any question they may have when it comes to planning their event at PSU.

Fun facts about Karen: She speaks German, and recently quit drinking coffee – cold turkey. She once entered a bank to apply for a checking account with a man she’d never met, posing as a married couple; and yet she claims not to be a secret agent… you can decide for yourself when you meet her. Or call her up to plan your next event at the HUB!

About Terri

Terri joined the student affairs division at PSU in 1992, three years before the CUB became the HUB we all know and love. She initially worked in student activities, advising PACE, the senior class officers and Greek life, but transitioned into union operations in 1996, a year after the HUB opened. She was promoted to director of the HUB in the fall of 2000 and became the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs, Student Life in April of 2011.

Originally a Midwestern flatlander, Terri received her BA in psychology at Augustana College in Rock Island, IL, and then attended Bowling Green State University in Ohio to obtain her MA in higher education administration. She quickly acclimated to life in the White Mountains, becoming an avid hiker and eventually teaching hiking for the HHP department for several years. She now enjoys all things outdoors – especially waterskiing, paddling, biking, hiking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing.

Having served PSU students for over two decades, she is most proud of growing the HUB staff into what is now known as the Student Life team, transitioning several positions from graduate assistantships to professional positions. She also served as one of the first ASB trip advisors in 1993, created the first White Mountain Orientation trip program in 1997, and managed the campus’s newly expanded ropes course when it re-opened in 1998. Outside of PSU, she has been an active member of NASPA (National Association of Student Personnel Administrators), serving on the regional board as the Director of the Mid-level Institute for two years.

She greatly values that she still has direct contact with students through the vibrant gathering space the HUB provides, and she is honored to work with PSU’s Orientation Leader team, who constantly remind her of why she entered the field of student affairs all those many years ago.

Edye is a new professional staff starting her long and exciting career in Student Affairs as the Assistant Director of Student Activities, focusing on Programming.  Before moving to PSU, she attended Salem State University as a member of the Higher Education and Student Affairs 2013 cohort.  Edye developed several passions outside of the Student Affairs world.  Growing up near the ocean, Edye developed a love for the vast body of water, and all the creatures that live inside it.  Along with loving the ocean, she spends a lot of time walking the beach and collecting Sea Glass.  Edye is also a certified SCUBA diver and has had many encounters with Dolphins, Manta Rays, Sea Turtles, and a Nurse Shark!  Her dream is to SCUBA dive with a whale, which happens to be one of her favorite sea creatures.

Edye also LOVES to sing!  She is constantly singing various top 20 hits, as well as some 90s Boy Band tracks in her office all day along.  Her typical repertoire includes Adele, Beyonce, Backstreet Boys, Alicia Keys, OAR, Michael Franti, and Jack Johnson.  Her favorite TV shows include Scandal, Revenge, Once Upon a Time, The Voice, Say Yes to the Dress, and the Office.  Her favorite movie of all time would have to be “10 Things I Hate About You” and if she had to choose one food to eat for the rest of her life, hands down, it would be Ice Cream!

Edye is excited to continue her career at Plymouth State University and assist students with exciting programming opportunities for the Student Body!  Through her creative, positive, and enthusiastic attitude, she is hoping to spread positive vibes throughout the entire PSU population!

About Kerry
Kerry came to PSU in 2004 after having lived in Missouri for over a decade. She received both her undergraduate degrees and master’s degree while in MO and moved back to her home state of NH to be closer to family. Prior to taking the operations and facilities position here at Plymouth State University, Kerry coordinated two off-campus locations for Moberly Area Community College where she spent 5 years learning about management and facilitation of both new building development and current building redesigns. Kerry also spent 4 years at Columbia College where she acted as the Director of Student Activities and Leadership Development, and while there she earned her MBA in Leadership Development.

Now, in the Hartman Union Building, Kerry blends her previous work experience assisting the Student Activities Office, over 90 student organizations, and departments across campus reserve, plan, and carry out events throughout the year. To support these events, she oversees all building operations including maintenance of the facility, cleaning and furniture purchases to ensure the HUB is a lively and vibrant venue for events and gatherings. In addition to this, the HUB handles thousands of meetings each year and Kerry is responsible for making sure all meeting rooms are multimedia accessible and set up according to meeting needs.

Not related to actual facilities, Kerry works diligently overseeing the many web sites associated with the HUB and orchestrates assessment within the department. She has over 40 student employees which she invests much of her time training and educating for future employment, and supervises the HUB Tech crew and the HUB’s Graphic Design intern.

Interesting tid-bit: Kerry has an undergraduate degree in equestrian science and completed her degree proficiencies (areas of expertise) in both hunter jumper and western pleasure.
