- To change the name of PE 2860 from “Wellness through Adventure” to “Adventure Programming for Physical Educators.” Rationale: The current title is often confused with PE 2880, Adventures in Wellness. 5.01State Visit and updates
The state deadline is 12/31/2009. The state plans on visiting the university sometime during the weeks of October 17th or 25th. The state has indicated that there are multiple other schools that have visits during these two weeks so they have noted that there might be and extension to the week of November 15th, this is tentative. We should know by May if they arecoming in Fall. There is only the need for one copy of report as we are continuing the go green ethics of PSU. Currently, each program should be answering questions in document from retreat, the curriculum section will be due on March 12th. The OTC will be setting up the electronic artifact room, which will be available on a CD or thumb-drive for the state visit. To use samples of student work that meet the standards , you need to black out their names. Also, samples of student work can use for multiple standards. These reports are needed 6 weeks prior to the on campus visit.

5.04NCATE Updates
The data that needs to be collected for NCATE dates range from 06-07, 07-08, 08-09. In the spring of 2011 the board of examiners will be on campus. The spa reports need to be uploaded to their shell by Feb 1st 2010.
NCATE will be looking at what has been done with the data. Programs are encouraged to use department meetings or utilize our office or other sources on campus for help. If a program has to resubmit a report they only need one semester of data. The BOE are looking at our numbers and looking for the frequencies and percentages. It would be appreciated if the reports could be in before Christmas so that they can be read over January break.
