The student’s resume and professional statement are sent to the school administrator, cooperating teacher and clinical faculty when the student teacher is placed.
Regarding student teachers the School Administrator should:
- Assume leadership in establishing a climate of acceptance of the student teacher by faculty members and other school staff members.
- Discuss the school’s policy for acceptable attire while teaching.
- Assist the student teacher in developing an appropriate professional relationship with faculty, staff, students and the community.
- Explain school policies.
- Participate in the observation of the student teacher if requested to do so by the Cooperating Teacher and/or Clinical Faculty.
