Oliver! has been ETC's largest collaborative effort to date. The talents, energy and enthusiasm of over two hundred people have combined together to recreate this classic tale of an orphan boy's adventures in life as he searches for the love of a family.
We are so proud of our wonderful cast of 125 (including 76 individuals new to ETC this year—45 of them children), and of the many designers and technicians who worked countless hours behind the scenes to make the world of Dicken's Oliver! come alive for you.
We are grateful for the vision of President Don Wharton, the guidance of Dean Robin Bowers, the encouragement of John Clark, and the support of the principal administrators at Plymouth State University. We are grateful to Peter Hutchins, Principal of Plymouth Elementary School, who first provided a school to nurture the beginnings of children's educational theatre in the Plymouth area, and continues to champion its cause.
We appreciate Plymouth Friends of the Arts for their help with our after-school integrated arts workshops (attended by over 40 children), and for their organization of our lobby display, featuring the artwork of many children from area schools. We extend our thanks to the Plymouth business community, especially Biederman's Deli for their help with concessions, Clay's Copy Solutions, and to the local elementary schools for their help in raising scholarship money.
We are indebted to Tim and Deb Naro, and Jay Moskowitz for their commitment to ETC, and to the many families and individuals who went out of their way to get children to rehearsals, rearrange personal schedules, and support us throughout the process of putting Oliver! together.
And finally, we are grateful for the privilege and opportunity to work together in such a beautiful facility. Working together makes all the difference. In that spirit, ETC will continue to provide a place for magic to happen, to be a celebration of the power of the arts, to bring people together!
