- What is the Pakistani Educational Leadership Institute?
- PELI hosts Pakistan educators who learn about American innovations in education which they adapt to educational practices in Pakistan.
- When did the Institute begin?
- PELI has been funded by the United States Department of State, Bureau of Cultural Affairs since 2003. This annual funding has provided 80 Pakistani educational leaders the opportunity to participate in a unique learning experience at PSU.
- How many participants are there for the 2008 Institute?
- Twenty educational leaders will arrive this July for our fifth institute. The represent the secondary level public and private sectors, as well as teacher training institutions in Pakistan. During this summer's institute, partiicpants will be taking part in intensive training in cultural heritage preservation and environmental stewardship. This experience will allow particpatnst to promote active and responsible citizenship in their respective communities.
