Plymouth State University awards financial aid to students based on need or through merit scholarships for their academic or performing achievements. Demonstrated need is based on your family’s income and net assets for the previous year as reported on the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). There are many types of financial aid. Financial aid is usually awarded in a “package” that combines scholarship, loan and campus job. About 80 percent of all Plymouth students receive some form of financial assistance.

In accordance with NCAA Division III rules, Plymouth State does not offer athletic scholarships.

New England Regional Student Program 

Plymouth State University participates in a regional cooperative program administered by the New England Board of Higher Education (NEBHE). The Regional Student Program enables residents of New England to attend an out-of-state public college or university within New England at reduced tuition for certain degree programs that are not available within their own state's intuitions.

Eligible programs and states include:

B.S. Meteorology (Forecasting) MA, ME, RI
B.S. Public Management CT, MA, RI
B.A. Humanities MA, ME
M.Ed. Health Education ME, VT

This program expands opportunities in higher education for New England residents by making available on an equal basis courses not commonly offered at every institution.
