Angela Matthews, Director of Development

Angela Matthews joined the Office of Institutional Advancement in January 2001 as Director of Development. She holds a bachelor of science from Salem State College and a master of science from Lesley University. In 1979, after a 10-year career in elementary education, Matthews entered the world of fundraising as the executive director of a nonprofit child care agency. Matthews served as the executive director of a nonprofit child care agency for eleven years. In 1990 Matthews joined the staff of the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation where she served as the executive director of the Greater Piscataqua Community Foundation, the Seacoast regional division of the NHCF. Matthews brings 20 years of fundraising and development experience to Plymouth State, and an appreciation of how higher education opens the door to opportunity for the people of New Hampshire.
