Dance Auditions

Auditions are required for anyone seeking to pursue a minor in Dance or a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies which includes a dance component. All Dance auditioners should schedule an audition with Amanda Whitworth, Director of Dance (aewhitworth@plymouth.edu).

Auditions are generally scheduled on Mondays through Thursdays during the Fall and Spring semesters, and include:

• Participation in a dance technique class in modern dance, ballet, jazz or tap, and
• Performance of a two-minute solo in any form of dance.

Dancers are advised to audition early in the year. All incoming first-year students will be considered for Dance Talent Grant funds; other students are eligible for scholarships from the Dance Division and the Contemporary Dance Ensemble Concert Series.
