Office of the President Staff

Suzanne Abernathy, Receptionist

Suzanne Abernathy joined the President’s Office in August 2007.  She acts as office receptionist and assists with day-to-day administrative responsibilities. Suzanne is an alumna of the University of New Hampshire with a B.S. in Health Administration and Planning. Prior to coming to PSU, Suzanne spent much of her career working in human resources, and in the direct sales industry.

Melissa Levin, Executive Assistant

Melissa Levin has been working in the President’s Office since March 2004. She is responsible for long-range operational and administrative responsibilities of the office, including events for the Office of the President and scheduling. She also supports the President as a liaison between the USNH Board of Trustees, the President’s Cabinet, faculty, staff, alumni, government officials, the community, and other external organizations with whom the President has a significant affiliation.

Melissa is a PSU '01 alumna with a B.A. in French literature and a minor in Spanish. Before joining the President’s office, Melissa worked in the tourism industry and lived in Quebec. She and her husband own Mad River Coffee House in Campton, N.H.

Janet Capaul, Executive Assistant

Janet Capaul joined the President’s Office in October 2006. She is responsible for communications, events, and planning for the Office of the President. She also supports the President as a liaison to the USNH Board of Trustees, the President’s Cabinet, faculty, staff, alumni, government officials, the community, and other external organizations with whom the President has a significant affiliation.

Janet is an alumna of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, with a B.A. in American History. Prior to coming to PSU, Janet spent much of her career in resort marketing.
