About the Plymouth Writers Group
The Plymouth Writers Group is an association of teacher/writers dedicated to publishing an annual literary anthology comprised entirely of teachers' writing. Our aim is to celebrate the writing teachers do—with their classes, in summer writing workshops and on their own time. We hope to provide them with an outlet specifically geared to the publication of teachers' work.

Our first anthology, Writes of Passage, was published in the fall of 1996. In her review in the Concord (NH) Monitor, Rebecca Rule wrote "the writing is consistently strong, thought-provoking and unpretentious… This is a fine collection of work about growing up, or just plain growing—and though the writers must be teachers, readers from all walks of life will be engaged by what these teachers have to say and how well they say it." Since then we've published more anthologies, including Everyday Epiphanies; Lessons Learned; Shifts of Vision; The Heart of the Matter; That Fierce Embrace With Life (a special compilation volume of teachers' writing about classroom life); Illuminations; Love and Trouble; Defining Moments; and Acts of Emancipation.
