Women’s Rugby Game Cover at Lyndon State College
On Sunday September 27, 2009 the Plymouth State Women's Rugby team had their second game of the season up at Lyndon State College in Vermont.  This game was our first win of the season with a final score of 25-0. Lyndon State put up a good battle, but gave up five tries to Plymouth State. The first person to score for Plymouth State was Tiffany Sweeney.  This was the first time she ever scored. With the first score under our belts, it made us want to score even more. About five minutes later, one of our newer players, Katherine Clark, was the next person to score for Plymouth State. She also scored again in the second half as well. The last person to score in the first half was Kristen Spinney who also scored for her first time of the year.

The second half was as good as the first for Plymouth State. We held Lyndon State and made them fight to try to score but Plymouth State never let up. The last person to score with twelve minutes left in the game was Michelle Costanza, with her first try of the season. Plymouth State played really good defense. Every time that Lyndon State was close to scoring, we would always get the ball out of their try zone. Plymouth State is off to a good start with a record of 1-1.  Now it is off the Green Mt. College this Sunday for our third game of the season.
