RESERVATION POLICY: People interested in taking a Group Exercise Class should call the Fitness Room Front Desk at 603.535.2956 to reserve your spot. Reservations will only be taken the day of the class. You should arrive at least 5 minutes prior to the class to check in the with the Recreation Programs Staff, otherwise risk losing your spot to a ‘walk-in.’ For any questions, please contact Drew Guay at 603.535.2958
Boot Camp – T/Th 6:00 (Kathy)
Athletic training using a variety of strength and cardio intervals to challenge all muscle groups!
Core & Cardio Fitness – M/W 5:30 (Holly)
A great way to get fit or stay fit. A rapid fire 30 minute workout, designed for maximum efficiency, full of high powered, energetic moves. A Sweat drenching and effective class to leave you energized and more powerful. It’s not easy, but it really works!
Spin – M/W 6:30 (Armand), T/Th 5:00 (Kathy)
On Tuesdays, the class is run as an All Terrain class: A FUN ride starting with an easy flat road to warm up, then progressing through a variety of terrain on flats and hills to challenge your strength and aerobic capacity, ending the ride with a cool down and stretch! Thursdays will focus on Endurance/Strength/Interval training zones to challenge your heart and leg muscles! If you have a heart rate monitor please bring it with you to this class!!
Spin 30 – M/W 6:00 (Holly)
In the 30 minute version of the class, the focus will be working with heavy resistance to develop muscular endurance and power. Exercise intensity: 75-85% of maximum heart rate. Heart rate monitors are a strongly recommended.
Yoga – M/W 8:30pm (Lili) T/Th 12:00noon & 7:00pm (Stacey)
Lili - Ponder your day as you unwind with some rejuvenating yoga. This will be a slow (Hatha Flow) to moderate speed (Vinyasa Flow) class filled with many variations on all poses. The form is Sadhana Yoga: The term Sadhana, in Sanskrit, means spiritual practice. It is also a Tantric term for spiritual discipline or the ‘path to Realization’…Focus is on the essence of yoga, which is an instrument to reveal greater truth of our existence, the spiritual being. Benefits include: flexibility strength, relaxation, better sleep, posture, overall health.
Stacey - EARTH AND SKY YOGA is a blend of Forrest, Jaguar Path, and Ashtanga Yoga. Stacey mixes Traditional and Non-Traditional systems of Yoga with Shamanic practices that help the practitioner delve deeper into their Core Being. This practice uses intelligent sequencing with a strong awareness of breath and the subtle body. It is suitable for beginners and advanced Yogis as well as those who are working with injuries, nervous system imbalances, and pregnancy. This is a fun, dynamic practice! Bring water, a hand towel, and a sense of humor
Yoga Nidra – Tuesdays 4pm
Yoga Nidra is a sleep-like state which students report to experience during their meditations. Yoga nidra, lucid sleeping is among the deepest possible states of relaxation while still maintaining full consciousness. Lucid dreaming is the Western term used to denote a practice similar to yoga nidra. The distinguishing difference is the degree to which one remains cognizant of the actual physical environment as opposed to a dream environment. In lucid dreaming, one is only (or mainly) cognizant of the dream environment, and have little or no awareness of our actual environment
Zumba – M/W 7:30pm (Lindsay) & T/Th 8:00pm (Lauren)
Zumba fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program that will blow you away. It allows you to want to work out, to love working out and to get hooked. Zumba Fanatics achieve long term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in one exhilarating hour of caloric-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate for life!
