CURRENT APARTMENT/SUITE RESIDENTS
How do I keep my same apartment or suite?
- You may sign up to keep your same apartment or suite at the Langdon Woods Office (room 134) on March 2 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
- You may reserve two, three or four spaces in your apartment or suite. These spaces may be filled with any combination of on- or
off-campus people. - At least 50 percent of the people in your group must meet qualifications (see below).
- If you are in a two-person apartment, you may reserve one or two spaces. All people signing into a two-person apartment must meet qualifications.
- Bring a completed University Apartment/Suite Application and Residential Life Lease for each person you wish to sign into your apartment or suite with you to the Langdon Woods Office on March 2 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
- Residential Life Leases and University Apartment/Suite Applications are available at the Centre Lodge or Langdon Woods.
How do I switch to another apartment or suite?
- You may switch into any open spaces by coming to the Langdon Woods Office (room 134) on March 4 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. or March 5 between 8:00 a.m. and Noon.
- You may reserve two, three or four spaces in the apartment or suite you choose. These spaces may be filled with any combination of on- or off-campus people.
- At least 50 percent of the people in your group must meet qualifications (see below). Fully open two-person apartments will NOT be available at this time.
- Bring a completed University Apartment/ Suite Application and Residential Life Lease for each person you wish to sign in to the apartment or suite with you to the Langdon Woods Office (room 134) on March 4 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. or March 5 between 8:00 a.m. and Noon.
How do I sign up for a 2-person apartment?
- Bring a completed University Apartment/ Suite Application and Residential Life Lease for each person in your group to the Centre Lodge Bradford Room on March 5 at 3:00 p.m.
- Selection priority is based on the average of the room selection ranking numbers for the people in each group.
- Both people in your group must be eligible for the apartments in order to sign into a two-person apartment.
- To attend this session, you must have two people in your group.
- Apartments will be offered until no more vacancies exist.
- If you can not attend the draw session, please call Tom Weeks at the Langdon Woods Office (535-3298) prior to March 5.
GENERAL INFORMATION
- Once you submit your apartment application, or sign up for any on-campus housing, you are committed to living on campus for the entire 2009-2010 academic year.
- A qualifying person is one who will be 20 by Sept. 1, 2009 or have 30 credits by the end of Winterim 2009. At least 50 percent of the people in your group need to qualify.
- NO DEPOSIT is required for returning students to sign up for on-campus housing.
- Be sure you bring a completed lease and apartment/suite application with you when you sign up for an apartment or suite.
- Only one person in your group needs to be present to select an apartment or suite. Be sure this person has all paperwork required for all group members.
- You may sign up to keep your same apartment or suite and then switch to another apartment or a four-person suite in Langdon Woods or attend the two-person apartment selection at the specified times.
- Residential Life leases and University Apartment/Suite applications are available at the Centre Lodge or the Langdon Woods Office.

- Residential Life reserves the right to modify any part of this process to serve the best interests of the students and/or institution.
RESIDENCE HALL AND OFF-CAMPUS STUDENTS
How do I sign into a student apartment or four-person suite at Langdon Woods for next year?
- Each person in your group must fill out a University Apartment/Suite Application and Residential Life Lease, available at the Centre Lodge or Langdon Woods.
- At least 50 percent of the people in your group must qualify to live in the University Apartments or a Langdon Woods suite (see below). It is important to realize that pulling non-qualifying people into your group will lower your chances of getting an apartment or suite.
- Return all completed applications and associated paperwork to the Centre Lodge no later than March 5 at 4:00 p.m.
- All completed paperwork for your group must be submitted together to be considered for an apartment or suite.
- Residential Life Leases and University Apartment/Suite Applications are available at the Centre Lodge or Langdon Woods.
How do I know where I’m living next year?
- Your group will be assigned a time to come to the Langdon Woods Office (room 136) on March 11. At this time, you can choose an apartment or suite. Availability is not guaranteed.
- These times are based on the average of your room selection ranking numbers (the number on the label on the front of this brochure) and will be posted at Residential Life, Langdon Woods and the Centre Lodge. One person in your group will be notified by mail at his/her HUB Suite.
- If someone from your group does not go to the Langdon Woods office at your assigned time, you will not be assigned to an apartment or suite unless you have made prior arrangements for the Residential Life staff to choose an apartment or suite for you. Please call Tom Weeks at 535-3298 for more information.
- Apartments and suites will be assigned until no more vacancies exist.

ANSWERS TO SOME COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS...
Who is required to live on campus?
Plymouth State University policy states that all students are required to live on campus if space is available.For the 2009-10 academic year, students who will be 20 by September 1, 2009 or have earned 30 or more credits by the end of Winterim 2009 are eligible to live off campus. All first- and second-year students are expected to live on campus. Release requests for students in this group will not be considered until late summer. Those who desire to live on campus for the 2009-2010 academic year must follow the procedures outlined in this brochure.
Can I move off campus after the first semester?
No. Your lease with Residential Life is for the entire academic year (September – May). You must fulfill this obligation unless you are released for academic purposes.
Who is eligible to live in the White Mountain Apartments or Langdon Woods suites?
Anyone who will be 20 by Sept. 1, 2009 or have earned 30 credits by the end of Winterim 2009.
What paperwork do I need to complete to sign up for an apartment or suite?
You will be asked to sign a lease and complete a University Apartment/Suite Application.
Why do I have to indicate smoking/non-smoking status?
Even though smoking is prohibited in residence halls, it is very important to accurately indicate your status as a smoker/non-smoker. Many non-smokers don't like the smell of smoke on clothing or other possessions or are allergic to it.
