Mary Lyon is the oldest residence hall on campus. It was built in 1916 and renovated in 2006-7. The renovations included new windows, roof, heating system, furniture plus many other improvements.  It is located in the center of campus and it's historic design has been preserved. Many alumni have very fond memories of their time in Mary Lyon. At one time, there was a bowling alley and a basketball court in the basement!

Students who live in Mary Lyon have this to say about it:

"Spacious rooms; kitchen is great!"
"It is very well taken care of and feels like home."
"How pretty it is!"
"Great array of people and wonderful staff."
"It is very clean and beautiful and open. "
"Friendliness."
