Student Worker: Katie BentonName: Katie Benton

Katie Benton is a Spanish major at Plymouth State University. Katie grew up in the Newfound area and is now commuting to Plymouth for her second year. Katie is working as a student office assistant at the Center doing all different types of projects. She has worked with the Northern Forest Higher Education Resource Network, the Weeks Centennial, and gathering information for various projects.

Tom Evans is an Environmental Science and Policy Grad student at Plymouth State University.  the project he is working on is, the Biomass Roadmap Project, which is is assisting New Hampshire communities with researching and implementing a biomass district heating. He is making a roadmap to show what options and benefits exist for communities interested in biomass energy.

Anastasia is a history/political science double major, and is working on a project gathering post secondary education resources and any other opportunities for the North Country of NH, but in particular resources available for the displaced mill workers in the region. She is working on this project with Ian Blakeney with this project as well.

Ian Blakeney is an Environmental Science major at Plymouth State University. Ian is working on a project that is focused at providing post-secondary education resources and opportunities to displaced mill workers in the Northern Forest region. He is working inconjunction with Anastasia on this project.

Jodi Student workerName: Jodi Bartley

Jodi Bartley is currently a Master’s-level graduate student in the Mental Health Counseling program at Plymouth State University. She already holds a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology, but hopes to embark upon a new career in counseling after PSU.  At the Center for Rural Partnerships, Jodi coordinates major conferences such as the Northern Forest Higher Education Resource Network. 

 

 

Name: Jesse McEntee
Date of Work:  Current
Jesse McEntee is a doctoral candidate at Cardiff University's School of
City & Regional Planning and PhD Scholar at the ESRC Center to Business
Relationships, Accountability, Sustainability, and Society [insert
hyperlink, see below].  Jesse is currently conducting research that
examines rural food access and the associated impact of local foods in
Grafton County, New Hampshire. Over the past year he has worked with
researchers at the Center for Rural Partnerships to conduct this
research. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (Magna Cum Laude) from the
University of New Hampshire (2003; Durham, NH) and a Master of Arts in
Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning from Tufts University (2007;
Medford-Boston, MA)."
