The College Math Proficiency Assessment (CMPA) is intended for those majors that do not require Calculus. The CMPA is a 25 question assessment that will help determine how well prepared you are to be successful in your university mathematics requirements.
There are 3 possible results:
Level 3 (90% or above) – Mastery. You are ready for college-level math. Congratulations!
Level 2 (80% to 89%) – Retake assessment after preparing and then if a level 3 score has not been reached, the Math Proficiency Tutorial is recommended. Tutoring support is available.
Level 1 (below 80%) – Retake assessment after preparing and then if a level 3 score has not been reached, the Math Proficiency Tutorial is highly recommended. Tutoring support is available.
If you receive a rating other than Mastery (Level 3), you will receive an email offering you the opportunity to participate in an online Tutorial. The Math Activity Center provides assistance during Hours of Operation for the Tutorial.
