Imagine a configuration of dancers so entangled you can’t count them. Or, the visual conundrum of a fantastic animal composed of living sculpture of human bodies. For more than three decades Pilobolus, “the most popular modern dance company in the country” (New York Post), has been acclaimed for its startling mix of humor, athleticism and creativity. From their shadow tableaus at the 2008 Academy Awards to their best selling book for children The Human Alphabet (with their bodies shaping the letters), Pilobolus aims to make modern dance accessible and fun for all. They call themselves “the dance company for those who don’t like dance….and for those who do.” Stay after the performance to hear what the dancers have to say about the performance and ask them your own questions.
