About Professor Middlekauff 

Dr. Middlekauff teaches most of the physical geography classes at Plymouth State University, including Landform Analysis, Glacial Geomorphology, Hydrology, and Geography of the White Mountain Region. He also co-teaches other classes with Social Science Department faculty, such as The Ice Age, and Ecotourism in Acadia National Park. Additionally, he co-leads field courses to the Southwestern United States, France, East Africa, the Central Appalachians, the White Mountain Region, and the Canadian Maritime Provinces, from New Brunswick to Newfoundland. Dr. Middlekauff also teaches many of the courses in the Environmental Planning major too. He has research interests in the impacts of Ice Age climate upon landforms in the Appalachians, south of the glacial margin, and geographic education.

Dr. Middlekauff is active in the Association of American Geographers (AAG), having attended and participated in many meetings and in the New England St. Lawrence Geographic Society, our regional geography association (Nestval).
