About Professor Shirley
Sheryl L. Shirley is an associate professor of Political Science at Plymouth State University where she teaches courses in International Relations, Latin American Politics and Women's Studies. Dr. Shirley received her doctorate (1997) and master's (1989) degrees from the Department of Government at the University of Texas and has published in the International Journal on World Peace and the National Women's Studies Association Journal. She has conducted field research in Central America, led student delegations to Nicaragua, and worked with various Central American solidarity organizations.
