
Ms. Kathryn Melanson,Distinguished Operating Staff Award winner (DOSA)
Kathryn Melanson, Administrative Assistant in the Social Science Department, was awarded the Distinguished Operating Staff Award in May of 08. The Award Ceremony in Samuel Reed Hall, Heritage Commons, was well attended by other OS members as well as her grandchildren, her son and daughter, Dad and Stepmother and a sister-in-law. Melanson was very surprised to receive this award and feels very honored to have been nominated and selected for such a great Honor.
Patrick May, Distinguished Advising AwardPatrick May, Geography and Social Studies Education, accepting his award at Faculty Day, August 27th, 2008. May received the Distinguished Advising Award for all his hard work with the students. May is always on the go and working hard for the students and the community at Plymouth State University.
David Starbuck, Distinguished Scholar Award
David Starbuck, was awarded the Distinguished Scholars Award for his many literary works and excavation. Starbuck is passionate about his work in the field of archaeology and loves to share that passion with the students. Starbuck has been involved in many excavations, but most recently he has been digging around his family home in the Adirondacks.
