
Plymouth State University established its baccalaureate social work (B.S.W.) degree program in 1983. The B.S.W. program is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), the national standard setting organization for social work education programs in the United States. The achievement of accredited status indicates that the program has met the high standards of CSWE in order to prepare students for the profession of social work.

The B.S.W. program is accredited for CSWE’s full eight-year cycle ending June 2007. The program's self study is scheduled for review by the Commission on Accreditation in June 2007.
