
Q: What kind of community service or volunteer opportunities do you offer?
A: We have one time service opportunities such as clean-up days, Angel Tree Project and Blood Drives. The Community Service Center also works closely with Alternative Spring Break and PSU Volunteers which are student run organizations offering service opportunities.
Q: I have Federal Work Study and am looking for a job. . . .
A. the Community Service Center works with Community Partners to offer positions off campus. We have approximately 35 positions available in the Plymouth area.
Q: What is Alternative Spring Break and how do I get involved?
A. Alternative Spring Break is an opportunity for students to spend their spring break working on service projects in another part of the country. Previous service sites have included, Roosevelt Warm Springs Rehabilitation Center (Georgia), Habitat for Humanity builds (Gulf Coast) and various youth centered projects (Chicago & St. Louis). The ASB group forms in the fall semester, typically late September, and begin team building and fundraising activities leading up to the trips in March each year. Application & Interview are typically required.
