Alice Staples, Associate Professor and Outreach Librarian, has been at Plymouth State for 10 years and has been active in women's issues since her arrival. She is responsible for the purchase of library materials relating to women's issues, and is available for consultation regarding research for Women's Studies, or other research topics. Alice has been a feminist since she took an undergraduate anthropology course on women and culture at SUNY Oswego. She is the 2001 recipient of the Theo Kalikow Award, “in recognition of her valuable contribution to the Advancement of Women”, and served as chair of the Women's Studies Council from 2001-2002.
