received an A.B. from Dartmouth College and an MS and PhD from Florida State University , all in Computer Science. She has been a faculty member at Plymouth State University since 1998 and is currently an associate professor in the Communication and Media Studies Department. Her interest in Women's Studies dates back to her time at Dartmouth College, when she was often the only woman in her Computer Science classes. Taking Women's Studies courses as an undergraduate helped her to understand and deal with her experiences in the male-dominated world of technology.
